Stakeholder Forums
WINCAP's Stakeholder Forums were set up to ensure people of all age groups were able to have an input into WINCAP's day to day services and activities.
The Stakeholder Forums are designed to enable people to dip in and out of meetings, attending only when they wanted to have a say on something, such as the design of The Edge, without the responsibility of being part of a formal committee.
Stakeholders are involved with WINCAP in various volunteering opportunities, often taking lead roles in activities.
WINCAP has a Board of Directors and Trustees who have ultimate responsibility for The Edge. The Board also ensure projects work within budgets set and it also works with its Centre manager applying for funding to keep projects going and start new projects up.

The starting point for the Forums, which are split into two, one for the under 18s and one for people over 18, was to take people from 9 years to 60 years on a residential training course on 'Buildings by Design'. Plans were drawn up, model rooms and outside areas worked on, ideas put forward and needs identified, all providing enough information for designs of The Edge to be drawn up.

You can see from the pictures the work taking place, the concentration and commitment by everyone to say how they would like The Edge, their community centre, to look.
