WANT TO LEARN TO PLAY A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT?

  • NOT SURE WHAT YOU WANT TO PLAY?
  • WANT TO TRY IT OUT FIRST?
  • WANT SOMEONE TO SHOW YOU HOW?

THEN COME TO BANDEDGE AT THE EDGE AND MEET PAUL AND OTHER VOLUNTEERS-TUTORS IN ELECTRIC, ACOUSTIC AND BASS GUITAR, DRUMS, KEYBOARD AND SINGING!

As a result of consultation with young people to find out what they wanted, BandEdge was set up in October 2007

With just a small grant to buy equipment we

aimed to provide young people with the opportunity to access free tuition and free use of musical instruments.

Every Monday evening young people not only learn to play an instrument, but they can also achieve part of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award in skills and/or service.

Young bands have enjoyed opportunities to play live at Winsford Town Festival and in WINCAP's own projects, such as the Over Fun Day.

Part of WINCAP's future plans for The Edge include the creation of a recording studio to further support bands and musicians in the area.

Due to the success and popularity of the club a second session is now provided every Thursday just for adults!
